“The Ian Muir Sound” is one of the busiest bands on the Scottish dance scene and has performed not only in their native Scotland but all over England and Northern Ireland as well as Eire.  They are also well known to cruisers on the P&O cruise ship ‘Canberra’ having featured on Scottish theme cruises for the company.
The basis of the band is essentially a trio – Ian Muir on accordion, Colin Bell on keyboards and Derek Hamilton on drums but for large functions the addition of a fiddle is often the order of the day and normally Gordon Simpson fills that roll admirably.
