The RSCDS is delighted to announce that Luke Brady has been appointed as the new Music Director and will commence the role at the end of 2020.
Luke has been a champion of Scottish music for over twenty-five years and has been actively involved in the RSCDS, playing at Summer School for over a decade as well as having coordinated both Spring Fling and Winter School.
He has also previously been a member of both the Membership Services Committee and the Management Board and is currently Chairman of St Andrews Branch. Luke and his band have both recorded and travelled extensively.
Reflecting on his appointment, Luke commented: “The Music Director position is a big responsibility and one I am tremendously honoured to accept. Ian Muir will leave behind some very large shoes when he demits office in November. I hope to bring an enthusiasm and energy to the role and am open to new projects and ideas. To that end, I will be setting up a Music Sub-Committee to make sure I have a wide range of experiences, talents and views feeding into the musical future of the Society.”
